I need to consolidate my NetBSD journals with this. NO need to keep two.

NetBSD has a db(1) tool. Here is an example of using it with the vis(1) -w switch:

db -S b -T w hash spamd

The "-T w" is to use "vis -w" style. The "-S b" is to do that for both key and value.
