Converting a DocBook document to tex:
openjade -v -d /usr/pkg/share/sgml/docbook/dsssl/modular/print/docbook.dsl -t tex /usr/pkg/share/sgml/docbook/dsssl/modular/dtds/decls/xml.dcl J.xml
This had a lot of errors but a J.tex file was created. I have these pkgsrc packages: opensp-1.5.2, openjade-1.3.2nb5, tex-jadetex-3.13nb4 and others. When I tried to convert to dvi or pdf, with jadetex I got:
This is pdfeTeX, Version 3.141592-1.21a-2.2 (Web2C 7.5.4)
kpathsea: Running mktexfmt jadetex.fmt
fmtutil: no info for format `jadetex'.
I can't find the format file `jadetex.fmt'!
So I ran "mktexlsr" as root. I was able to create the pdf with: "pdfjadetex J.tex".

Spent a lot of time today upgrading a Ubuntu system from 6.0.6 dapper to Ubuntu 6.10 Edgy. Still trying to figure out the bcm43xx wireless card. Had the system for a few months now and still no joy :(
