Plugged in my son's cheap Polaroid Ion camera and 2.1 kernel said (dmesg):

uhub0: port 2, set config at addr 2 failed
uhub0: device problem, disabling port 2

Tried different port on my box:

uhub0: port 1, set config at addr 2 failed
uhub0: device problem, disabling port 1

My kernel is GENERIC and also has:

uhci0 at pci0 dev 7 function 2: VIA Technologies VT83C572 USB Controller
(rev. 0x02)
uhci0: interrupting at irq 10
usb0 at uhci0: USB revision 1.0
uhub0 at usb0

When I tried on FreeBSD 6.0 I received:

ugen0: vendor 0x093a product 0x010f, rev 1.10/1.00, addr 2
ugen0: setting configuration index 0 failed
device_attach: ugen0 attach returned 6
