T. Klausner taught me how to close a gnats PR. First use "edit-pr number-here" and then change the "open" state to "closed" and exit the editor. Then it prompts: "Why did the state change? (Ctrl-D to end)". Then you type your comment and press CTRL-D on the beginning of an empty line. Then it will say something like:

edit-pr: filing PR pkg/22566 back into the database..

(You can press CTRL-C to undo entire operation.) Also, in the editor, you can change the responsible person or the state (analyzed, feedback, suspended, dead).
