kdm wasn't starting at boot, but started from shell prompt. syslog said:

kdm: server unexpectdly died
kdm: server for display :0 can't be started, session disabled

I fixed this by making sure that the /usr/X11R6/bin was added to path before running /usr/X11R6/bin/kdm (in the startup script). I think the real fix is to make sure that kdm's configs have this.

Imported ppp to pkgsrc-wip. (It provides pppd.)
