Packaged cxunzip (a GNOME unzip tool). Submitted pkgsrc for it via send-pr: pkg/17009. fredb committed my package the same day -- placed into archivers category instead of my submitted x11.

I discussed a little about how to choose what buildlinks to use (or dependencies). The package first built without any still linked to three audio libraries. I was told it was easier to just keep it as it is, because it would be too much work to get rid of the unwanted dependencies.

cxunzip has a problem. When closed by the window manager, it gives a GNOME Application error (seg fault). If closed via "File -> Exit" then it is okay.

Sylpheed documentation indicates that .mailcap is used. It is not -- unless you have metamail installed. (I found out by reading sylpheed source.) I installed metamail via pkgsrc and it worked. The installed package is called "mm". I did all this so my wife could open zip attachments in sylpheed (to view zipped JPEGs for example).

metamail is confusingly called "mm". metamail pkgsrc is called metamail, but registered as a package as "mm". I asked about this on tech-pkg and Perry M. noted that another old program is called "mm" -- so maybe even more confusion. So I sent send-pr: pkg/17030. (This was fixed and closed by wiz on 26/May/2002.)
