On Debian, use "dpkg-reconfigure" to rerun postinst script for a package to reconfigure it. (I used it to make /bin/sh be ash.)

I am using galeon instead of navigator this week. Added "galeon" to end of NETSCAPE_PREFERRED list in ns-open script. (I could have used environment variable instead.) See last week about this. When used netscape script to start navigator and navigator wasn't already running, mozilla was started instead. (I don't wanted bloated mozilla.)

Doing "make obj" under /usr/src. Stopped about 2.5 minutes later, because couldn't "fork". So I killed a few processes and tried again. (I need to set my default limits to be higher.) This completed less than four minutes later.

Then as root, I did "make UPDATE=1 build". This took 51 minutes.

Copy-and-paste from galeon doesn't seem to work. At least, for one website (I could highlight though). It works from others. Copy-and-paste to galeon works fine.

Building new kernel with "options SHMMAXPGS=16384" as suggested by T. Klausner so ogle for playing DVDs will work. Made new config (and new compile directory). "make depends" took one and a half minutes. The "make" tool less than 13 minutes. Backed up old and copied new kernel into place.

System had been up for 65 days, 18:17 hours.
