System locked up when I ran Dan Retzlaff's textimage tool (as regular user); this slowed the system down and mouse and keyboard was unusable; and harddrive was flickering constantly. Then pressed CTRL-ALT-F2 to change to another console (from X), but that didn't do anything. I couldn't connect via ssh. CTRL-ALT-BACKSPACE and CTRL-ALT-DEL didn't work.

After a physical reboot, I had no ethernet: no ne0 (was found by kernel) and "No space on /". I am guessing that textimage's problem had to do with no space and didn't properly check.

I removed a bunch of files from failed pkg_add's from /var/tmp (from a few days ago) and rebooted.

First, I rebooted with "reboot", but still no ne0. Then I rebooted with "shutdown -r now" and my ne0 came back.
