Looking at local sendmail documentation. An "INSTALLATION AND OPERATION GUIDE" is available at src/gnu/dist/sendmail/doc/op. It is built with "make op.txt" for example. To find out about debugging trace flags, look at src/gnu/dist/sendmail/sendmail/TRACEFLAGS. Sendmail debugging is done like: "-dflag-flag.level". If the level is above 9, you'll get "absurd" amounts of information; for example: "/usr/libexec/sendmail/sendmail -d0-101.100 reed@reedmedia.net" with no body outputed 653910 bytes of debugging info. (I used the whole path, because my sendmail is my mailout.)
